The standard is based on ISUOG international recommendations, adapted to locally available equipment and staffing.
When an abnormality is found
Where a structural anomaly is suspected, the patient should be referred to a tertiary centre within seven days.
Note: A guideline is a recommendation and does not replace the clinician's professional judgement in an individual case. Departing from it is acceptable where the reasoning is documented.
