The pilot ran in Kakheti, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Racha-Lechkhumi — the regions where access to a perinatologist is most limited.
Consultations used a hybrid format: the local physician joined the session together with the patient, which made it possible to review ultrasound images in real time.
Results
Average waiting time for a consultation fell from 21 days to four. Travel-related costs for patients dropped by an average of 180 GEL.
